The graphic design is coming together...
We recently received into our offices: a new 7K+ story by Matthew Warner called "Meatcow Maker" —a startlingly original tale guaranteed to make vegans of us all! The cover art will be by the incomparable Deena Warner!
Coming to you in the Spring of 2017, from White Noise Press.
...And here is what a mess of them, all cute and finished, look like. Release will be October 25.
If you want to insure snagging a copy, we suggest you reserve a number. We sell 150 numbered copies to the general public, though about 30 numbers for individuals (mostly low, from 2 scattered thru 56), and a block of numbers (83 & 118 thru 141) for one of the online booksellers, are already spoken for. If you would like to reserve an open numbered copy for "Schrodinger's Clock", email us with your number choices (firstname.lastname@example.org), and we will confirm if one of them is available, and reserve that copy for you! Then, upon release, just place your order (http://www.whitenoisepress.com/shelf/) indicate your reserved number in the 'Comments' field of the order form, and that's all there is to it!
Katherine and Jeremy are newlyweds, excited about starting a new life together. Katherine works in an office; she is focused on building her relationship and new home with her husband. She is firmly grounded in the here and now.
Jeremy is a professor of Physics at the local University. His focus is on quantum theory, relativity, and the true nature of time. He is also firmly grounded, but not on the here, and particularly, not on the now.
"Schrodinger's Clock" is the new story from celebrated author John R. Little, and the newest chapbook from White Noise Press. Coming to blow your ever lovin' mind this October!
In "The Winter Tree," Alison Littlewood weaves a mesmerizing tale of love and loss, and a quiet haunting, in a Victorian English setting.
We are on track for an early July release.
The final cover image! 'The Winter Tree', a Victorian ghost story, is scheduled for publication in the late-July–early August timeframe.
Norman Prentiss, no stranger to White Noise Press ("The Thing With Feathers") recently interviewed the two authors who share our next chapbook release:
One of these covers will be right-side-up, and the other upside-down...unless you flip it. Then the other cover will be right-side-up, and... You get the idea.
Our next chapbook will be something special: two stories for the price of one! Richard Chizmar and Brian James Freeman have each contributed a new story, Chizmar's "Odd Numbers" and Freeman's "How the Wind Lies". The chapbook design will be in "flip-book" format, each story beginning at its own cover, and each ending in the middle of the chap. Read one story, flip the chapbook, then read the other!
Coming this April from White Noise Press.
